Recruiting – Contingent Search
Para Paralegal is only paid upon the successful hiring of a candidate. This Contingent Search model provides access to top candidates, but there are no fees due until an actual candidate is hired.
We are experts of the hiring process from sourcing and recruiting, conducting interviews, assessing talent, and reference checks. Like many recruiting firms, we’re always sourcing for top candidates, including maintaining a pool of candidates who are passively looking for new career opportunities. The only candidates who are off limits are those we’ve already placed with your firm or company. We’re informed about current trends in our industry, new developments, and market compensation. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs before initiating a Contingent Search.
The time you spend with us to complete our Placement Order Form is extremely valuable. This affords us the opportunity to collaborate with hiring managers, firm administrators, or managing partners to identify open positions and create a thorough job description to share with qualified candidates. Also, we negotiate Placement Agreements based on a win/win scenario for our clients and candidates.
Para Paralegal’s 7- Step Process:
Step 1 – Identifying Client’s Goals
We will help you define your open positions, job description, challenges, and hiring process for successful placement. We’ll complete our Placement Order Form, evaluate your resources, and establish a plan of action.
Step 2 – Applying Our Process
We’ll design a 7-Step recruiting plan specifically for your firm or company. Also, we will apply our mix of proprietary recruiting strategies to include contacting our network of referrals, database of candidates, and community partners.
Step 3 – Interviewing Candidates
Once we have identified and pre-screened a group of candidates, we’ll conduct interviews and narrow our candidate pool to the best qualified matches for your position. During our interview process, we discover valuable insights into a candidate’s career ambitions and personality. As legal professionals, we know which questions to ask and how to ask them to obtain the most honest and accurate answers.
Step 4 – Candidate Reference Checks
We conduct a verbal or written reference check for each candidate. A satisfactory positive reference check is required prior to a candidate being cleared through our recruiting process. Candidates with an unsatisfactory or negative reference check will not be cleared or considered for any position openings.
Step 5 – Presenting Candidates
We will submit the Para Paralegal formatted resumes of two to four qualified candidates to our clients for review and consideration for interviews. Usually, we will communicate verbally or in writing why we believe the candidates are qualified for the position.
Step 6 – Managing Client Interviews
Para Paralegal manages the interview process with our clients. Typically, our clients will conduct back to back interviews of recommended candidates on the same day to save time and money. We schedule each interview, email calendar invites, debrief with candidates, and debrief with clients to accept offers on a candidate’s behalf.
Step 7 – Offers and Transition
We work with our clients’ offer process. However, we prefer to negotiate and settle all details before any offer is made, including base salary, first-year bonuses, first-year commissions, benefits, and relocation. We’re in a unique position to help both parties reach a mutual agreement in a timely fashion. Para Paralegal is authorized to accept on our candidate’s behalf as our strategy not to waste anyone’s time.
Also, there is usually some type of transition period between when the candidate accepts an offer and their start date. Typically, the candidate will resign from their current job, serve out a notice period, or possibly relocate. We assist our clients to ensure a smooth transition.
